    Step 2: Conduct A Workshop

After the selection of the teams in Step 1, the next step is to convene a workshop. A workshop is an opportunity for each Functional Leader to officially engage with his supporting teams and map out the way forward. Successful implementation depends on the teams being on the same page. During the workshop, the functional leaders will make it abundantly clear that the church is taking a new direction of driving growth by adopting DiscipleSoft. They will also share the implementation plan and the role that the supporting team play in the success of the implementation program.

It is the duty of each functional leader to assemble all his support team members and ensure a successful workshop. This is an important step that will give the implementation a good foundation for success.

We assume that you have gone through the introductory material on this step from the Implementation Manual. The information in the Implementation Manual will give you a great foundation to execute this step successfully.

    Role of Steering Committee

Since the Steering Committee is ultimately responsible for the successful of the DiscipleSoft initiative, they play a key role in all the 4 workshops. The Steering Committee members will attend all of the 4 workshops. For this particular workshop there are 2 Functional Leaders who are central.
