    Chapter 7: Step 4 - DiscipleSoft

    Chapter 7: Step 4

    You are here:
    Estimated reading time: 1 min

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”

    Step 4: User Training

User Training is an important component of the onboarding process. Once the teams have been assembled and the milestones for each function established, the next step is User Training. During onboarding, the main tool that users will utilise to execute the set milestones is the Pulse Mobile App. Pulse is a powerful platform that has incredible features for all the 4 functions and because it is a mobile app it is conveniently available and easy to use. One major reason why Pulse is the best platform for implementing is that your teams can perform all their milestones without needing laptop computers. Requiring every team member to have a laptop to perform their duties would be impossible, but these days almost everyone will have a smartphone, and that’s all you need to use Pulse. Pulse is very user-friendly and intuitive, we expect every team member to be able to use it without any challenges.

    Learning Outcomes

As part of the training process, training material will be shared on the WhatsApp group.  The material will cover both Pulse Mobile App and DiscipleSoft Web. The following Learning Outcomes will be addressed during training for both platforms

    Adding Records

    Viewing Records

    Editing Records

    Searching a Database

    Exporting Reports

    Sending Bulk SMS or Emails

    Scheduling and Logging Meetings

    Making and Logging Phone Calls

    Accessing Reports

    Concept Checkers

To evaluate whether the users have understood the Learning Outcomes your Account Manager will post Concept Checkers. Concept Checkers is a list of simple hands on questions on both Pulse or DiscipleSoft Web. Each User will be given 2 Days to complete their Concept Checker test. The test will be hands on to make sure users know how to actually use the platforms.

During the Concept Checker test you can enter dummy records as part of the practice. However when practicing Member Registration you should enter actual information of yourself or family members.

After the 2 day testing period all the dummy information will be deleted except membership data because it is real information as indicated previously.
