How to Add a Member - DiscipleSoft

    How to Add a Member

    You are here:
    Estimated reading time: 1 min

One of the key advantages of Pulse, is the ability to add members from your phone. The information that is collected on registration is short, allowing you to quickly capture the important details first and the rest of the information can be collected at a later stage. These members are then synchronised to the main database on DiscipleSoft web version.

Step 1: Go to the Members on the bottom menu and click on the Add icon and complete the form

Step 2: Complete the form as shown in the image below:

    Viewing a Member Record

Step 1: Click on Members from the bottom menu to view the list of members under ALL MEMBERS tab

Step 2: Use the Live Search at the top of the table to search for specific records by typing either the first name or surname of the member

Step 3: To view a member’s full details, simply click on their name to get a detailed view of their profile as shown below:

In Profile Communication and Activity Feed

When you are in a member profile, one of the powerful functions is the ability to communicate directly with that member by email and SMS. You can also schedule or log meetings and phone calls.

All the communication that is done with a member will be displayed on the member’s activity feed. Please watch the video below:

    Members’ GITAR

GITAR stands for Get Information Through A Relationship. We believe that when registering a member, minimal information should be collected. Shorter forms are not off putting as the member can quickly provide the information required. Other information required can be filled in over time as you interact with the member.

GITAR information is divided into 3 categories

Critical – this is the basic information that we should have on each member. This has to be prioritised when collecting information.

Important – this is information that will help in understanding the member more. It is vital to have it on each member but is collected through interactions with the member without asking them to fill in another form.

Privileged – this is nice to know information about the member, some of the information here will require more time before a member can freely share.

    Full Details

Full details is a list of all the information that has been collected on the member, all displayed in one view.
